franthewndrhrse: (XF Story)

I was watching a Bones rerun a couple nights ago. Some guy, out in the desert with a flashlight, stumbles on a body he thinks is an alien. Freaks out, runs away and drops his cell phone while doing it.

Bones and Booth show up do stuff and are standing near the body when the XF theme starts to play. It's the guy's cell! The theme continues to play (gaining volume and quality) as they pan to the 'alien' body and segue into the opening credits. Yay! Later, Langly shows up as a cafe owner. Yay!

This is probably old news to those of you who watch the show. But, hey, it gave me a thrill.

If I watched Fox shows anymore, I would watch Bones for that episode alone. :-)

You should make an exception for "Bones." It's the BEST!

I LOVE that episode! Am I remembering correctly -- is that the one where Brennan jumps when the body starts to sit up in the MRI and then Booth's gun goes flying? Soooooo funny!

That was definitely one of their better episodes. The XF references and jokes were really well done. That's the kind of homage I like. : )

Yup. And it was nice to see Langly Dean Haglund again.
