Garage Break-ins, Stolen Caps, and A Joke
Sep. 9th, 2005 01:36 pmOur garage was broken into the other night. This time, some of the boarding on the side was peeled off. Nothing was taken as far as we can tell. But, dude, that's because our garage gets broken into so much, we don't keep much in there. I want to put up a sign that says "Don't waste your time. The garage across the alley has much cooler stuff in it."
Every year, our neighborhood goes through this. There are a number of break-ins all at once. It's very frustrating and makes my husband want to move. Where to, is the question. We both like our neighborhood, and our neighbors. Except for the grafitti, litter, noise and crime, it's the perfect place to live! There are good things about where we are. The people are friendly overall, there is a sort of live and let live attitude. Nieghbors watch out for each other. It's close to many things and has a wide variety of people living in it. Lately, it's become a sort of trendy place to live. If only the not so nice people would stay away.
WonderBoy's favorite baseball cap was stolen by 7th graders at lunch at school. Or, at least that's his version. He could have mislpaced it. He's been known to do that. I felt bad for him, either way. Middle school is going ok for him. His homebase, math and science teacher is 'evil' and his social studies teacher is 'really nice.' He's only missed the bus once so far. :) Taking the school bus is new for him.
Ok, joke time.
Why is it a good idea to stay out of the jungle between 2 and 4 o'clock?
Because the elephants jump out of trees.
Why are pygmies so short?
Because they are roaming around in the jungle between 2 and 4 o'clock.
An oldie, but a goodie.
