I Have Nothing Very Interesting To Say
Jan. 5th, 2007 10:27 amLike the subject says, I got nada. However, here at work, the stupid Cold Fusion interface is down, or maybe it's the Oracle database, so I can't update anything, which, after having caught up on my LJ reading, email reading, etc, leaves me twiddling my thumbs. I did just make toast and tea, since I've had no breakfast. So, there was that. I don't think that counts as actual work, though.
I have my ballroom dance class tonight. I missed one a couple weeks ago because I was sick. It was cha-cha night. I'm not too upset about missing that one. We've already done the Rumba. Who knew it was so easy? No, seriously. It sounds like it should be really hard. Go figure. Tonight we're going to do the Fox Trot, according to the class sheet.
The other day, my humidifier stopped working. Just stopped. I took it apart last night, but didn't see any loose/broken wires or little signs that said 'This is the part that needs fixing' so, that's it for me. Greater minds might be able to divine the problem, but not mine. So, I guess it's a new humidifier for me.
Getting divorced is a lot of work. No wonder people sometimes break up and just never bother doing the legal stuff. Of course, we're trying to do it ourselves. If you have an attorney doing the paperwork, it's probably less hassle. :) I'm looking forward to when everything is done. The paperwork for the state, the refinancing for the houses. I've decided I'm going to sell the house I'm in, the one we've had since '89, and move across the street to the duplex we -- I -- own. It's a beautiful house and I've always liked it. I just renewed the downstairs tenants for another 6 months, which will work out just about right. I want the lower unit, and I'll probably invest about $20,000.00 to get the attic renovated into a two bedroom so that I can rent that out, also. The 2nd floor tenants are going to start looking for a house to buy in about 6 - 9 months. Lots of activity for that old house. :)
